Local Attractions etc.

Garden Cottage is situated in the beautiful Wychwoods in the Cotswolds, ideally suited for countryside walks directly from the house.  One can wander round the village (approx 20-30 mins circular walk) or across the fields only a few minutes from the house.  The village has a ‘wild garden’ opposite the imposing Jacobean Mansion of Shipton Court and this garden is open to villagers and their guests all year round.

Blenheim Palace, A World Heritage Site, has many functions throughout the year culminating in the Palace being decorated for a Christmas Special at the end of the Season.

Gardens open to the public are the famous Hidcote (National Trust),  Rousham House, Chastleton House, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Kelmscott Manor and many others all within 30 minute drive.  (April-October).
